Relocation Agent Network Supports Estate Agency All-Stars

Friday 31 May 2013

Relocation Agent Network, the national network of selected independent estate agents, has joined other industry bodies supporting the All-Stars training programme. The Estate Agency All-Stars initiative selects and trains new agency recruits, before they begin work. The programme provides pre-employment training, which aims to turn enthusiastic trainees into proactive and productive members of staff from day one.

A joint venture between Josh Rayner of Rayner Personnel, and Julian O’Dell and Peter Chapman of TM training and development, the scheme accesses suitable trainee negotiators from a UK-wide pool provided by a range of sources.

Once selected, the programme takes the candidates through a recruitment process, which includes a video interview and a number of tests, including psychometric, literacy and numeracy. Communication skills, legislation, interpersonal behaviour, selling techniques and the nuts and bolts of sales and lettings will all be included in the programme. Once completed, the highest performing recruits are then presented to prospective employers and chosen trainee(s) are invited to a five to nine day training course . The course highlights the key skills and expertise that will allow the trainees to be effective in their new jobs, from day one.

A key initiative of Relocation Agent Network – a network of independent estate agents, across England, Scotland and Wales - is that each of its members is, in the Network’s opinion, the Local Expert in their area, providing buyer and selling customers with local knowledge and the highest customer service. The affiliation with All-Stars will help to promote these values amongst our Network members.

Speaking about the All-Stars programme, Josh Rayner said, “We believe that entry qualifications for estate agency will come in time, so we are providing good quality training until that point. We will be training and placing almost 500 new recruits in the first year and our objective is that by 2020, every estate agency firm in the country will employ an Estate Agency All Star. We’re very proud that Relocation Agent Network believes in what we’re doing and we very much look forward to working with their members.”

Managing Director of Relocation Agent Network, Richard Tucker said: “We are delighted to promote the All-Stars training programme to our member agents, who are always looking for the best possible staff to help deliver the very best in customer service.”
